Join us on an adventure through the landscapes of Sintra. Put on your walking shoes and brace yourself for breathtaking views and fairytale palaces.
We start our tour from the train station, from where we start our climb. Sometimes steep, but it's not a race, so we take our time.
Our efforts are rewarded when we enter the walls of the Moorish castle. This part of the castle has been partly reclaimed by nature, which only makes this place with mysterious tunnels even more special.
Leaving the castle we climb our last part to one of the highest points of this mountain. Here we not only have a view of Lisbon and Cabo Espichel, 44 km away, but also the famous Pena Palace.
After a short stop to catch our breath, eat and drink something and take in the views, we start the descent. Easier on the lungs and just as beautiful as the way up.
Along steep rock walls and through the gardens of a beautiful Mediterranean villa we find our way back to the center where the smell of freshly baked travesseiros fills the streets and the terraces are already pleasantly busy.
